Hologram honored as one of Built In’s 2022 Best Places to Work
We're grateful to be recognized for our benefits that enable our team to do their best work.
We’re honored to have been named one of Built In’s 2022 Best Places to Work in the remote-first category. This award recognizes the top employers in tech from across the country who go above and beyond for the people behind their innovative services — from offering outstanding benefit packages to impactful initiatives and more.
“We’re grateful to be honored as one of Built In’s Best Places to Work. Building an iconic company starts with building an iconic culture that empowers our employees. We believe we can only do that when we provide an environment that enables everyone to come to work and be their best selves.” — Ben Forgan, CEO and co-founder of Hologram.
At Hologram, we know that building a vibrant workplace culture is key to recruiting and retaining top talent. We also know that with intentionality, it’s possible to do exceptionally well in a remote-first environment. Our approach includes providing specific benefits, communication tools, and remote social “events” where our teams can get together outside of the day-to-day Zoom meetings.
Our benefits improve work-life balance
It’s important that team members have the support they need to do their best work and enjoy a positive work-life balance. We start by helping team members build a comfortable and conducive place for work. We provide a generous stipend for new team members to outfit their home office and an annual allocation for any additional upgrades. We also reimburse home internet and encourage team members to take a break from their home office with a monthly coffee shop reimbursement. To encourage balance, we’ve adopted Focus Fridays and mandate mental health days. We also offer a Family Support Fund for team members with dependents and cover 100% of employees’ medical benefits.
We use tools to stay connected
We take care to select tools that enable our team members to exercise our values of ownership, transparency, and mindfulness in their daily work. Asana allows team members to take ownership of their tasks and check the status of their colleague’s contributions. Notion serves as our source of transparent documentation and makes it easy for employees to access quick answers. Lattice allows anyone to provide mindful feedback and public praise. All tools support an asynchronous work environment to accommodate different time zones and life schedules.
Our social calendars are always full
Book clubs, monthly trivia matches, Slack channels devoted to pet photos and more — Hologram team members are uniquely amazing individuals, and we believe it’s important to provide time for connection beyond projects and meetings. We host virtual events on a monthly basis, including book clubs, happy hours, 1:1 Donut chats and more. Our Slack workspace also provides a source of connection with a wide variety of social channels — topics range from hobbies and interests to family and support.
